By downloading or using Scanhaus you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
About the App
Scanhaus is an iOS app for scanning documents, recognising text (OCR), and creating and organising PDFs — all on your device. It is developed and published by Nuke Submarine Technologies Ltd, United Kingdom.
Free Tier and Premium Purchase
Scanhaus is free to download and includes a free tier of 10 scanned pages for the lifetime of the installation, counted per page. After that limit, continued scanning requires a single one-time non-consumable in-app purchase ("Scanhaus Pro"), which also unlocks on-device OCR and searchable PDFs, PDF merge and compression, and folders, tags and search. Scans are never watermarked, whether free or paid. There is no subscription and no free trial. Once purchased, premium features are yours permanently. Pricing is shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency, no price is stated here.
Purchases and Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and its Standard End User Licence Agreement for licensed applications. For refund requests, contact Apple directly via reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable Use
Scanhaus is licensed for your personal and professional lawful use. You agree not to misuse, reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the app or its content except as permitted by law.
Intellectual Property
Scanhaus, its design, branding, and content are owned by Nuke Submarine Technologies Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices. All other rights are reserved.
Your Content
You are solely responsible for the documents you scan and store, and for ensuring you have the right to scan and process them. Nuke Submarine Technologies Ltd accepts no liability for content created or processed by users.
On-Device Processing and Accuracy
Scanning and OCR run entirely on your device. While we aim for high quality, the accuracy of scans and recognised text is not guaranteed; you should verify important documents and extracted text yourself.
iCloud Sync
Optional iCloud Backup and Sync is off by default and is enabled only by you, through an explicit consent screen. When enabled, it uses your own iCloud account via CloudKit's private database. Apple's terms and privacy policy govern that data. Nuke Submarine Technologies Ltd has no access to it.
No Warranty
Scanhaus is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nuke Submarine Technologies Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Scanhaus. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Apple
These terms are between you and Nuke Submarine Technologies Ltd, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for Scanhaus or its content. Where the App Store Standard EULA applies, Apple is a third-party beneficiary.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms. The Last updated date below reflects the most recent revision.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to the jurisdiction of its courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
