Sable Business Card
Privacy Policy
Sable Business Card is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. Nothing you enter leaves your device unless you explicitly choose iCloud sync. Nuke Submarine collects no data from you whatsoever.
Who We Are
Sable Business Card is an iOS app developed and published by Nuke Submarine Technologies Ltd, based in the United Kingdom. Contact: nuke@nukesubmarine.com
Data Stored On Your Device
All card data (name, job title, company, phone, email, website, social links, address, bio, profile photo, custom fields) is stored only on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. The developer has no access to this data.
Optional iCloud Sync (Premium)
If you enable iCloud sync (a premium feature, off by default), your card data syncs to your personal, private iCloud/CloudKit database — managed entirely by Apple. Nuke Submarine has no access to your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy governs how Apple handles iCloud data.
Data We Do Not Collect
We collect none of the following: your name, email address, or any contact information; card content you enter into the app; advertising or device identifiers; usage analytics or crash reports (no analytics SDK is present); payment information (all purchases are handled by Apple); any data transmitted to our servers (we operate none). Sable Business Card contains no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that make network calls or collect data.
Photos and Images
Profile photos, logos, and background images you add to your cards are stored on your device only. Photo selection uses Apple's system photo picker, which does not require a photo library permission in this app. Images are never uploaded to any server.
QR Codes and vCards
QR codes are generated locally on your device using Apple's Core Image framework. vCard/contact files are created on your device and shared directly via the iOS share sheet. Nothing is routed through Nuke Submarine servers.
Apple Wallet Passes (Premium)
Apple Wallet passes are generated locally on your device and signed using open-source libraries (no cloud signing service). Passes are stored in your Apple Wallet — Apple's privacy policy governs Wallet data.
Third-Party Libraries
The app uses two local open-source libraries solely for Apple Wallet pass generation: krzyzanowskim/OpenSSL (PKCS#7 signing) and weichsel/ZIPFoundation (pass file packaging). Neither library makes network calls or collects data. No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are present.
How We Use Your Data
We never receive your data, so we do not use it. Every feature runs entirely on your device or your own iCloud.
Data Sharing
We share nothing with anyone. There are no advertising partners, analytics providers, or data brokers involved with Sable Business Card.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data exists only on your device and, if enabled, your own iCloud. You can delete cards within the app, delete the app to remove all local data, or manage iCloud data via iOS Settings. We cannot access or delete your data on your behalf — we never receive it.
Purchases
All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Nuke Submarine does not receive or store any payment information.
Children's Privacy
Sable Business Card is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We collect no personal data from anyone.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, EU GDPR, and applicable US laws (including CCPA/CPRA), you have rights including access, correction, and deletion of personal data. Because Sable Business Card holds no personal data on our side, these rights are automatically satisfied — you remain in full control of your data on your device. Contact us at nuke@nukesubmarine.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
The security of your data rests on your device's own security and, if you use iCloud sync, Apple's iCloud security. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode or biometric lock. Because we operate no servers and transmit no data, there is no server-side breach risk on our side.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will update the Last updated date below. If we ever introduce features that collect personal data, we will update this policy before releasing those features.
